1 year on….

One year since I set up My One Heart and 6 years to the day I lost my dear Dad. To which is the reason I set up this little business.

Reflecting back on what has been a rollercoaster of a year… full of pure joy, pride and sadness.

Within the year, you lovely people bought sweatshirts and Tshirts for Christmas presents within the first weeks of setting up, my one heart featured on this morning for a Valentine’s gift guide, I was welcomed to chat on Talk Radio with the lovely Eamon Holmes and we finally raised enough money for the first public defibrillator ??

Within the year, we lost my lovely grandad at the grand age of 99years young. I was made redundant in April after I had just found out I was pregnant with our second child. My husband was made redundant in July, we all turned a year older and we welcomed our baby girl into the world 2 weeks ago.

Plans for 2019…. from the success of this last year and the unexpected response to the products, I will continue to make the public aware of how important it is to have 24hr public defibrillators. Bring out new styles and accessories. Place the first funded My One Heart defibrillator in Yorkshire, we are hoping for spring and generally be the best vision of myself. Oh and also try and arrange a My One Heart bike ride, London to Paris in October! {if anyone can help with that please get in touch}

I just want to Thank everyone for their support, from friends and family to strangers who shared their stories with me. Your stories have really touched me, with sadness but also happiness.

You can really doubt yourself when you put yourself out into the big wide world, I certainly did and I’m sure I will have doubts going forward but I will always do my best.

I’m going to take myself off line until the New Year to enjoy my new born and adjust to life as a family of 4.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a healthy 2019

With love from my family to yours x
